is it enough?

For me 40 tactics a day would be too much and 60-70% would be too low. But maybe that depends on what you want to improve with your tactics. I focus on improving calculation atm so I take my time and try to force myself to really calculate the lines.

You should learn most important principles of a chess game. That will give you a solid understanding of a chess game and you will know what to do in every position. Then, you should optimize your calculation so you don't miss tactics in your games. Your rating will skyrocket. I can help you with all of this. Message me if you are interested.

Yeah I would say that's a good training plan. You should probably aim for a 100% on tactics. it's not really on how much you can do but how much you can get right. When you do a puzzle, I would recommend you to be 100% sure of the answer before imputing your move. This way you improve your calculation and tactical skill more effectively. But yeah it's fine if you don't do that cause I also can't be bothered to spend an hour a puzzle. The most famous middlegame book would probably be Reassess Your Chess ( 4th edition ) by Silman. I don't have a book but it's considered a classic so I guess you could get that.

It would be much better for you to solve only 3 per day, but with a 100% success rate. Try to actually solve the puzzles by calculating stuff, don't just guess a move.

Aiming for this is of course a good idea, but it is a fact that the puzzles get harder and harder as you get them correct and your puzzle rating goes up. At some point one is going to hit a wall where they will not be able to get 100% or even close to that correct, no matter how hard they try.
