Is it normal to have an unusual increase in rating after 1150

Most chess improvement comes in leaps, not gradual steps. You'll stagnate for a while then something clicks and you surge ahead a good deal. It's not uncommon. Especially depending on what you're studying, if you're improving a lot in an area that many in your rating group aren't, it could lead to a lot of wins if you get positions where that knowledge comes into play. It's one reason the popular advice to players is focus on areas of knowledge that'll come up most often in their games rather than learning something that may never arise- like checkmating with king and rook instead of bishop and knight.

Oh I see. That's really cool. Can I play a game with you. I really want to play with a 2000 rated player. We can keep it unrated so you don't loose rating points by mistake. Take it as a new year gift for me. I'll be waiting for you to accept my friend request

My real name is Hamza. Nice to meet you Jordan

I believe this is the case as I was stagnating ~1150-1250 for blitz, a much stronger player pool. During my run, rapid players I’m facing are usually rated anywhere from 500-1000 blitz. 1200 seems like the starting elo for someone who doesn’t play much rapid, instead blitz so it could just be due to that and a combination of strength of player pools.
