You can learn an awful lot by playing stronger, more experienced players and going over the games with them. If you can manage the time, go for it. But school comes first

I am in middle school, I have track and field to attend to, which complicates things; there is a chess club though, which is after track on wednesdays. My parents also think it is late (~). But I am still curious.
