is there a logical explanation for my upturn in wins recently?

I was stuck at around 450-460 ELO for some time, and recently in the last day or so, I've noticed I've started winning more frequently.  The graph on my profile page shows an obvious upturn that if it wasn't for the low accuracy in my play you'd think I'd started cheating.  I don't think it's due to me suddenly just getting better, so is there another possible reason for the sudden improvement? The types of players I've started encountering just above that lower rank?

It’s not unusual to plateau for a bit while you’re learning, and then suddenly improve. Remember, rating is a lagging indicator of your actual skill level. It is possible to get lucky but a big move (>100 pts) makes it more likely that something clicked.

Yeah, you shouldn’t be worried about cheating reports if you keep winning and winning. I once went from 630 bullet to 1233 in the span of a month, and the only time I was reported was for “time manipulation”. My accuser obviously didn’t know what they were talking about, so in that streak of winning, only good things happened. Keep on winning dude! You’ll be okay!

Maybe you're just learning more about chess, like I have. It's likely that, like I have, you will see your rating drop about 20-25% of the amount it climbed, maybe all the way. I don't mean to be pessimistic, because I'm sure you will regain it, again, like I have. Maybe you stay at the high level you have reached, in which case, good for you. I said the above part because I experience extreme tilt, and there's a chance you do too.

yeah.  i guess my rating climb was probably attributed to actually learning my first opening that i studied past the 3rd move

That's happened to me all the time and often when I learn something else/new, I thing you just start improving.

adjstreams, just keep playing, your streak will cool off soon as you encounter higher rated players. do Puzzles too to keep improving.
