Is This A Valid Sacrifice

I just lost this game with an unforgivable queen blunder but the review showed a missed forced checkmate so it's got me wondering about this bishop sacrifice to expose the castled king. It's the first time I've played this sacrifice in several months because it's fraught with danger but is it a valid strategy to follow up the bishop sacrifice with a pawn storm or can white easily defend and convert the advantage in to a win?

Is there a name for this type of sacrifice or is the fact that 7. ... bxh3 goes from 0.21 to 2.84 in whites favour it's foolish to even try it against a seasoned player? My reasoning is that white is trapped by it's own rook, pawn and bishop forming a wall so it takes a few moves for white to mobilise on to that side of the board. I move my queen to threaten the pawn on h3 while allowing a long castle and then start an attack with 10. ... g5.

The game review showed I missed a forced checkmate just before I blundered my queen which I'm still kicking myself about especially as I still had 5 minutes. I rushed the move and paid the price.

The sac 7...Bxh3 is objectively bad but gave you average practical chances considering the strength of your opposition and the fact that it is a 10 minute game. The problem with the sac is that after the moves 9.Nh2 Qxh3 10.Qf3, white will have 2 defenders near the king and you have no other attackers if your queen retreats.
