Introduction To The London System & Jobava London System

I heard Baadur Jobava answer this question on Twitch. Basically, as a beginner, play the London. It is structured in a way that even beginners can play it consistently.
The Jobava London has a lot more nuances that a beginner will find hard to correctly play.
I thought that the jobava would be a good follow up to the London system but I either got checkmated into oblivion or my knight would get stuck in a8 with no hopes of returning 😄 being a beginner sucks
The Jobava London is one of my main openings. Technically, it does break a minor chess principle. In queen pawn openings, the c pawn is much better on c4 in front of the Knight. On the one hand, I agree with ShweetSamantha in that the regular London might be more beginner friendly. To play the Jobava, yes, you usually start with 1.d4 2.Nc3, but from there your options vary wildly depending on what your opponent does. You need to memorize multiple lines. It's not as systematic as... well... the London System. But that could also be a good thing. The downside of the London is it teaches beginners to play the same moves every time.. which works as a beginner but not knowing why you are playing moves and not adapting to your opponent's play aren't things that benefit you if you want to get to an intermediate level.
tldr; yes, the Jobava London is a good opening, but as a beginner you might not be ready for it yet.
Jobava London is good opening?
