just saying, learn the Blackmar diemar and the french you get +150 elo

For about 2 months I had been hovering around 900-1000 but since I started playing the french defence and the blackmar diemer my elo has shot up. In just a few days I went from 950 to 1100 from using those to opening and basically nothing else. Btw when I’m black and d4 happens I play the modern beefeater. So hopefully this is helpful for some since I’m still a beginner
I started learning with openings when I was your level. It is fun winning games from a newly learnt opening. Chess should be fun.

Exact same thing happened to me once I got good at the Scandinavian and Vienna. People have no idea how to play below 1200 when they can't get an easy Fried liver for the 500th time
