King's Indian Defence vs. Nimzo-Ragozin which one do you suggest for a 1145 rated player & why? Tried both openings and love their attacking chances/ possibilities but can't decide which one to keep as of now. Any help would be appreciated.

If you want to learn 3,000 variations then the kings indian is for you

Neither. Both are too complicated for your level. Play 1 d4 d5.

IMO the KID is a bit more forgiving if you don't know the exact lines. But I agree, they're both too complicated for beginners.

I like the Slav. I don't understand the Indian Defenses very well and there are a lot more sidelines to worry about than the classical 1...d5. Then again, try the openings out and see which ones you like more. That is what you should do than asking us what to play

This is backwards.  The KID has reems of theory behind it where some natural looking moves just lose on the spot.  The Nimzo is a much less sharp opening.

I met a 400 rated player who knew the King's Indian like Caruana himself. Since then I always play 1. e4 !
