Hello I have attached an image of a common position I end up in after opening. It's White (me) to move. I'm very much a beginner. Other than generally trying to avoid blunders, what strategies should I be pursuing here? I'm uncertain what my next moves should be, and cannot work out why the chess engine suggests certain moves. I am thinking Ne5 and then push the f pawn to try and disrupt Black's kingside pawn structure? I struggle to think of a viable option, as the position seems quite closed from White's point of view? If so maybe I should consider a different opening.

Thanks!

Well, most important, you did an excellent job. King safe, all you pieces active (accept for a rook maybe), a pawn in the center.

If you don’t know what to do: see if you can make your least active piece more active.

Maybe avoid castling so that you can attack from kingside...

It seems more logical to attack on the queenside with b4, and then b5. What is your rook doing on b1 otherwise?
