I’m decently new, but for me at least I started with longer games and I thought through every move that the opponent made: Is there any new threats, Are any of their pieces now protected/unprotected, how did this move effect their structure. This helped me realize discovered threats better.
Brother @nopeninja1 it is true to read in theory but my brain keeps forgetting constantly so I have to spend more time on even simple moves
Just practice more. Your brain is overwhelmed because it doesn't know what is important and unimportant on the board.

I think my problem is that I genuinely cant see the board properly regardless of the time to play a move. It is not the amount of time but my eyes and my visual processing problems. I just keep forgetting about my pieces or about how to analyze and move.
