when my opponent makes an obvious mis-click, I generally offer a draw (or sometimes resign, if my position was totally lost). I personally consider it completely ungentlemanly/ladylike to take advantage of a mis-click. Anyway, what's the fun in it? Yes, you know you won. But you didn't win because you are good at chess....
That's true. When someone misclicks both players know that they didn't win/lose on skill. That is mainly what is upsetting about misclicks. Your rating is never a true rating because of other distractions and misclicks
When I first joined chess.com I was playing games on my iPhone, and the fat fingered mis-clicks were a constant frustration. My solution was to only play rated games on my computer. On the go, I only play against bots on my iPhone or just solve puzzles.
Yeah misclicks are disappointing especially when you were in a winning position. Just like the game I posted, where I made 4 blunders but then my opponent misclicked and i got lucky.
