GothamChess is more for getting ideas, primarily for openings, and targeted to beginner/novice players. The material is presented in a very concise, brief, and fast manner. With that in mind, it is useful if it suits your needs and learning style. I suggest giving it a try.

100% recommend gotham, while I was struggling around 800-900 watching his videos + playing + puzzles helped me reach over 1000. As for practicing openings I would suggest going on youtube and looking for tutorials for a specific opening (I can recommend the queens gambit as white to begin with as it was my very first opening)
Thechesswebsite.com has almost every opening explained and with multiple lines
