You shouldn't learn too many openings if you just started. Learn the fundamentals first - control the center, get the knights out before the bishops. Working on tactics puzzles will help you a lot, too. Eventually, you should learn an opening for white, an opening against e4 with black, an opening against d4 with black, and then just play. Playing is the only way to get better.

Hey guys I'm around 900 rated and I somehow couldn't quite get to above 1000, does anyone have any tips? I don't quite know what I'm doing wrong, but chess.com says I'm making seven blunders every game, and almost all the tactics I've learned were sorta useless. Pls help.
