MalSlau, have fun exploring the site. There is much to learn here, and much simply to enjoy. Click on all the buttons you can and have fun doing it. Check out the Master Games under "More," read some articles under "Learn," and play some games under "Play." If you're nervous about playing a live person, take the pressure off and play one of the many computer opponents where you can ask for hints or take back moves. This is a terrific site to spend your time learning and playing. If you have a spouse or a job or a house to clean, though, you may want to avoid it.

(Before you ask, yes, the Queen's Gambit piqued my interest. I also got a chess set for Christmas, too)
