Yes, those pins can be very annoying! But like you say, moving a pawn to h3 or h6 has drawbacks. In my games, I usually leave my pawns where they are and allow the pin. I guess the best choice really depends on the situation.

How do you handle a case when bishp pins your knight in f3/f6 especially after castling?
In logical chess author says not to worry about the temporal pin inconvinience, which works well against most players arounf my level. But some players just put lot of pressure on this square which eventually gains an advantage.
It is possible to play h3/h6 before bishop pins, but according to logical chess it breaks the pawn structure of king defenders and loses a tempo.
What good advise is there ?
