For beginners, I suggest this opening setup for Whiie and Black. These aren't the best but basically the goal is to get your feet wet and lessen your chances of committing blatant tactical errors and put your opponents out of book.
Once you grasp the point of these setup, feel free to vary one pawn at a time. I would like to see some results of this. I don't think I can try this as a beginner because I am no longer a beginner. At 2100, I will probably lose with this setup but for folks below 1200, I think this is ok (also comical too).
Again this is not the best or correct opening ut try it. My point is to lessen your chances of attacking like a mad man and wait for your opponent to go wild instead.
