I have a few PGN files and at onetime I could go to a website upload my PGN file and watch the game played out, I am completely unable to do that now, what am I missing, (apart from a brain)

Pgn files are just text files with the moves of the game plus a bunch of descriptive elements describing where and when the game was played, who played, etc.

Any word processing program should be able to open them.
