Well, IMO the first bots that dont just blunder anything is the advanced ones. Vs the 1400s, just play solidly and wait for them to blunder
Playing the bots
Got to 4-0 against the 1600 bots (Pablo and Joel) and then the wheels came off against Isabel. I have played Isabel many times (since she is a free bot), but today I was blundering way too much. It happens if I play too many games in a row. I'll try again tomorrow.
Using London as white and the Czech Pirc as black.

Well that's making more sense, then. I've finally just started beating Emir (1000) consistently. He plays really well until the endgame and then he just goes goofy. If I can make it through the opening with solid development and survive the middle game, I can beat him every time in the endgame when he does something weird. I'm moving on to Maxim (1000) today so I guess I'll see if he has a similar quirk that can be used to my advantage.

I find that the bots 250 - 1000 are easy. But I think that Sven is the hardest all the way up to Antonio, because of his defensive style of play.
I defeated Sven but he played the Sicilian
I am trying to work ny way through the bots by playing all the 1400 bots, then the 1500 bots and so on. My goal is to go 6-0 against the three 1400 bots (1 white, 1 black victory each against david, ali, mateo) and then move on. On my 1st try I was 5-0 and then blew the last game against Mateo. I then went 6-2, 6-3 a couple of times and then finally had a 6-0-1 series which I called good enough. Today I went 6-0 against the 1500 bots (Antonio, Wendy and Pierre) on the first attempt.
Personally, I found the 1400 bots to be harder because maybe they play more non-orthodox moves and openings. I realize beating bots is not that big of a deal -- but it is a fun challenge.
I could have started with the 1200 or 1300 bots -- maybe I will go backwards at some point in time. They all have their quirks which makes it difficult for beginners to beat all the time.
