If you play 1. Qxf6, the opponent will trade queens. You are still down a rook and you will lose.

Did you forget to count the pieces?

Yes I forgot...

Watched only if opponent don't accept it and run away then queen h8 sad.png

Do you realize that you must be prepared for every move the opponent plays? You can't just hope that the opponent blunders away the game. You must find the move that wins no matter what happens.

Why my opponent didn't exchange the knights but took my queen
and as a result of that gave me knight for free?

Thank you for advance for replies

That's actually a good question.

My answer: the puzzle is trash. It's not a tactics puzzle, just some random position. Black is lost because his king is so unsafe. It has nothing to do with tactics.

This is super easy, so you should answer it yourself.

Hint: you forgot to count the pieces again.

And then what? You are down a piece and you have no attack left.

What is wrong with knight d4 check?

My idea was to get that queen

Thank you in advance

White being up a Queen is winning. Nd4+ results in trades ending up with capturing the Queen, but still leaving white with in a winning position. Whereas Nxd4+ after trades ends up with black being in a winning position.

I don't know if it can be called bad puzzle or not

The goal of it was "to win the queen"

First I exchanged the rooks and chess.com was happy with it

Then made knight d3 (to check opponents king with bishop and to offend his queen with knight)

Now opponent must get rid from that check

If he moves away with king I take his queen with knight

If he makes qeen e7 I take it with bishop. Yes he takes my bishop next but...

Thank you in advance for replies

The material is equal. The position is equal. It's a draw.

I have no idea what you miscounted here.

No it is not a bad puzzle. Nd3should have shown up as a fail.

1.Rxf8+ Kxf8 2.Nd7** puts the King in a double check with the Knight and Bishop while forking the Queen. King must move Queen is captured and white is up a Knight and winning,

Can somebody explain me why Knight f7 (check) is a wrong move? At least chess.com thinks so....

Thank you in advance

Rh7+ leads to checkmate.

Making a draw in a winning position is not "good".
