Well, hello there ! I'm looking for some feedback about normal Puzzles and Puzzle Rush Survivor.
I've seen really strong players do puzzles in the 70-100+ range and I was wondering how far you have to get in "normal puzzle rating" to start seeing these because they look a lot more practical for learning tactics.
I'm unlikely to ever get there in Puzzle Survivor Rush because I eventually miss simple things due to attention. I'm making a thread about this because puzzle rating is very different from bullet/blitz/rapid rating. Puzzle rating inflates a lot and seeing someone with 3000+ puzzle rating while impressive doesn't necessarily translate into players playing at 3000 rating in normal games. So, I was hoping to figure out what's the relative puzzle rating for a player in a certain skill range. In order to do so, I've been interested to figure out in what puzzle rating bracket are the puzzles from Puzzle Rush Survivor.
Basically I'm looking for a chart that says something along the lines of
level 1-10 bracket [100~800] rating
level 11-20 bracket [800~1200] rating
level 21-30 bracket [1200~1800] rating
level 31-40 [1800~2300] rating etc.
I'm also curious about how far people got in puzzle rating and if they got "stuck" at one point regardless of their rating in normal games. I figure it might help demystify what's going on with puzzles. I do know puzzles have a upper "endgame" because it seems like some players can stack 10000+ puzzle rating. I wonder if these players could get far in Puzzle Rush Survivor or if there's more to it.
tldr; I'm mostly curious about if anyone knows more in depth how puzzles work in general in terms of ranking, complexity and how difficult it gets in both modes.
I'm not really talking about 3min and 5min Survivor because they are mostly just speed benchmarks.
By the time you hit puzzle #45 in unlimited time Puzzle Rush, you can expect puzzle ratings of close to 2500.
I think puzzle #30 is good for a 1700 difficulty.
