puzzles versus people

I play a lot of puzzles/tactics and try to do a handful of 10 minute games per day. I feel like I’m really getting the hang of tactical puzzles and have managed to get my rating up to the 1100-1200 range for them. However, I have a much tougher time against human opponents and can’t manage to get my rating much past around 730 for them. Has anyone else had this experience? Any advice for stepping up my game against human opponents? Thanks!

It is easier to find the right plan where you know in advance that there is something concrete in a position, like you get with tactical puzzles. In a game you have to recognize when those positions come up and/or be able to calculate accurately to prevent falling into them or to find them.
