How do I improve?

wollyhood

Ok forget how miss-ey I was above, I have a new tactic that is bothering me, why do we have to assume that K + Q will win against K + R + P + P ( havent worked out how to link tactics yet )

@Aarongo once said that i play like a 1200 rated player. is that true?

Well based on your chess.com rating I would say he is accurate.

Why is it harder to play in front of an audience, even a nonexistant one, than alone?

If I have a good attacking style, what opening should I use?

Tristala

@rychessmaster1 When you're calculating several variations in a long game, and you don't like how any of them will turn out if your opponent finds the best moves, is it better to continue to use time until you find a variation you're satisfied with, even if it means making a concession (such as giving up an important square, or moving the same piece again in the opening)?

Do you have a way you "shift your gears" and consider new candidate lines?

How much value do you give being up on time in a classical game?

Thanks for taking the time to help all of us beginners, by the way.

JurrYan

i see pro players play chess pieces before the opponent plays, but when I try it doesn't play. How do I 'preplace' moves?

Tristala

@jurriandegraaf Are you playing on the phone app? I can't seem to premove on the phone app, but it works for me on the website.

JurrYan

@Tristala It doesn't work for me either on the website

Tristala

In that case, go to the settings in your profile, and you should see an option labeled "Enable Premove" Check to see if it's on. If you can't find the setting yourself, try this link:
