question: Interplay between bishoop and knight

I have read the following in a book:

If you really want to learn how to play with bishop and knightthere is no better way than to study the three different methods ofcheckmating the king. If you want to learn how to play with thebishop pair you should study the rare but important endgame twobishops versus one knight.

Is an advanced player willing to demonstrate this? Because if it's convincing, I'll not hesitate and use my time to study aforementioned situations down to its bone. Just to make clear: I'm not asking whether one agrees with it or not. If some senior player just happens to agree with it and knows how-to, could you please demonstrate the relationship?

I totally agree with the quote. Endgame study is the best way to get a better understanding af the pieces and how they best cooperate. Begin with the basic mating patterns. After mastering the B+N mate, then the proposed endgame could be interesting to work a bit at.
