Quick resignations

I am pretty new to the game, I jumped in without much in the way of training and realised I was terrible. Recently I've been going through the lessons and playing more games and getting a little better.

The problem I'm having is that people will quite often just immediately quit if they make a mistake (at least when I notice the mistake and capitalise on it) is this something that happens in all the levels here or just the really low rating games?

I think it happens in the low rating games and some high rating ones, I don’t see it that much in 1200-1600 rating games though.
