Hi there, I’ve just begun playing chess but I don’t know how my rating is almost 1300. I would like to change it so that I can play with beginners like myself. How do I do that? Thanks
your rating will stabilize no matter what you started chess.com with
play 10 games or so and you will, eventually, get to players of similar strength

the reason for the huge spikes when you start or havent played live games in awhile is the “glicko rating system”

so you might fluctuate several hundred points within your first few games

Play a few more games. The system will change your rating rapidly so you get to the right rating faster.
