Recommendations on videos for Chess beginners (openings)

Are there are useful videos that anyone has about openings in chess, it is something I lack a lot of knowledge about its importance, so any videos related to them will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Yes, I've done a lot. Check out my Openings playlist on Chess Boot Camp.

General tips:

  • Stick to a few main openings and play them over and over. On there you'll see my repertoire as white and as black.
  • Focus on the opening principles more than memorising moves.
  • Take your time on the opening. It's easy to mess up and then be playing from behind for the rest of the game.

first check out Hanging Pawns YouTube channel.   Good videos on lots of openings there.  Also Jims Chess Channel.  Next check out...

Check out Dereque Kelly on YouTube. He has a whole series of videos just on openings. Great stuff.
