Disable chat and play in Focus Mode. Then you can take as long as you need for each move without your opponent telling you to hurry up.
Rude Players/Bad Day
Try not to be too hard on yourself, we all have bad games and wonder how we lost. I'd also recommend disabling chat, some players try to break your concentration or will spam the draw option during the game even though it might have just started. Tomorrow's a new day so I wouldn't let people bother you too much.
You might want to have a word with your coach and go over the games you have lost and see if he/she can spot anything in those games that might help you in other games, it could be a specific problem that you miss and your coach might be able to spot it and give you some advice.
Buddy you got to give yourself some time to learn, you didn’t jump through school overnight either! It’s awesome you’ve got a coach, lean on them for tips and strategies to retain and implement the ideas you’re learning but give yourself some grave, we all have those days, games, and weeks that just don’t seem to be going the way you want. Keep practicing and learning and it’ll fall into place!

The next time someone tells you to hurry up and move tell them to hurry up and move away from their computer

Yeah, that's the worst when people are impatient. I've noticed that playing 20 or 30 min Rated Rapid tends to attract more polite opponents. Also, focus mode really does help a lot. It's much more calm to play some music and a chat free game.
Consider trying a few custom games and set the rating to unlimited below but max +25. That way, if you're playing against someone you don't know there'll be a higher probability that they are closer in skill level to you.
Feel free to send a link to a Rapid challenge if you'd like (game requests are glitching).

“If you're gonna rush people to make a move, you're playing the wrong game. Just my opinion.”
Completely correct! They chose to play the long time controls, so they have to deal with waiting while their opponent thinks. Don’t like it? Play bullet or blitz. It’s also disrespectful.

One of my opponents blundered badly, purposefully let his time run out, and called me a loser.
I replied "your mom" and started a new game.

I've just come across a player who laughed at me after a questionable move (in his/her opinion). Yesterday another one called me a noob (he/she had even LESS elo than me). But I won't disable chat because there are a lot of nice people and in longer plays is nice to have a little chat, I love talking to people from another countries. I just report, block, and move on. But I think too that it's completely annoying.
First point, I can't tell you how many people I've played who try to rush me through my moves. I'm blown away honestly. It's chess, not a video game. And isn't chess, in particular, a game you're supposed to think through? Just wow. If you're gonna rush people to make a move, you're playing the wrong game. Just my opinion.
Second point. I had probably the worst day I've had playing the game. I'm back in the 700s and I am just completely discouraged. My coach has been teaching me to play good fundamental chess principles and somehow I keep playing people who know these fundamentals so much better than I do. I can play as defensively or aggressively and it doesn't seem to make a difference. I'm frustrated. I feel like an idiot. Especially after my last two games. I had a huge lead in material in one of my games and completely blundered my way out of it. If we could cuss on this site this would be am expletive laced rant on full vent mode. Just a horrible day all around.
