Who is actually falling for scholars mate? It’s not even sneaky anymore as everyone knows the pattern and everyone knows the defence. All it does is put you in a bad position for the middlegame.

I mean, OP isn't entirely incorrect. You should know about common opening traps — albeit to stop them, rather than to play them.

scholar’s mate is annoying af— and it isn’t even playable anymore (for me) cause most people won’t fall for this tactic anymore
