Yes, there is an option under the “Learn” section. Go to Learn and then click on “Analysis” . You will see a board set up by default for you. There is an option to clear the whole board of all pieces and then you can choose your own pieces and place them however you want for learning purpose.
Note that the analysis board is not available in the iOS or Android apps, but you can use a mobile browser to visit chess.com/analysis to use it on mobile devices.

Hi. Is there any way in chess.com to set up a board any way you want so you can just pick the pieces and place them on a board?
I'm working from a step by step guide book and I want to set up the board copying the diagrams in the book.
I'm thinking when I'm short on time this may be quicker than having to use my own chess board as I have to keep rearranging the pieces.
