No, we all have bad games. I am curious though, after move #23. ... Nb4 why you didn't advance those two centre pawns? You had good support from the Knight, Bishop, Rook and Queen with White's King in the centre fully exposed. I think pushing those pawns with the support they have that they would be hard to stop.

I didn't realize that it gave my pawn a safe square, I brought my knight in to attempt to create checkmate opportunities

The most bizarre thing about Bf8 is that it is so unnatural. You have a mate-in-1 (Qxf1 mate), you have mate in 2 (1. - e2+ 2. Bxe2 Qxe2 mate). It is very hard to believe that any chess player even thinks of Bf8 as a candidate move. Except, if your purpose was to get checkmated, then good job.
