Stick with e4. Games are more tactical, which is where beginners need to start. Spend more time learning the endgame. Once your tactical ability has grown, then start experimenting with opening theory. Don't over analyze opening lines. Unless you can spot and defend against tactics (some of which may not be obvious), don't spend too much time on it.

Beginners obviously have no clue what they are doing, d4 is a much more solid opening, id say a london is great for beginners, no one knows theory anyway so thats not important, The london teaches good habits, like developing the right pieces. But again, you guys hang your queen 5 times a game, so dont care too much about opening. It gets important 1000+ id say. To hit that, all you gotta do is Puzzles and stop blundering mahor pieces. D4 helps you to not blunder them
