Stronger Bots

Anyone notice some of the Bots seem to have improved their game.  Two that seem a lot stronger to me lately are Nelson and Laura.  Granted I'm only an 800 player so maybe I'm getting worse,  but Nelson, used to be trade queens early and he was pretty much done and Laura,  I watched her play a 1500/1600 player to a draw.

I'm not sure, I've been working my way through the bots but now I'm trying to beat the 2100 ones and they beat me almost all the time, but I'm 1400 so I would expect that I would lose most of the time to a 2100 bot

oh yeah, Definitely. I've trying to beat Jade, Laura and Nelson lately and the system have improved them a lot. Dunno if chess.com does that intentionally, so bots doesn't become monotonous to play against 

Here's another Bot, Antonio,1500, that seems a lot stronger than I recall. I used to beat him as often as not but the last four times I've played him his moves are rated 90 & 91.  These games get down to me making a bad move or getting one pawn behind and I'm gonna lose. How many 1500 players moves are consistently in the low 90s?  Hopefully I'll get better cause that's what it' going to take.

I am not that good of a player but even Martin has beaten me a few times recently.

The bots definitely seem stronger. Used to beat 1500 bots and now struggling with 1200 bots.

Agreed Milo  the 1200s also seem stronger.

I'm not saying the Bots getting stronger is a bad thing.  They've' (some of them anyway) have been improved to what's a more representative level of play for their rating.  It gives you an idea of what would probably happen if you  played people ranked that much higher than you

I agree that more realistic is better. I just didn't know if the bots had become killers overnight of if I had become a patzer overnight.

The 1900+ bots are definitely stronger than I remember because I work my engine preps on them.

Bots are programmed to play strictly to a "plan". I know players that were "weaker" than me that would beat bots that I could not, because whey would get to a line that the bot did not know how to play.

I am noticing the same thing with the puzzles. My puzzle rating is in freefall since I noticed the change.

Some of the bots have changed. If you run across some that seem to be playing a lot stronger than indicated by their rating, save the game and post it.

I agree with the comments. Antonio was making some lovely little blunders but not now. I suppose it's all good practice for when I take on Magnus hahaha.

they were rated 200-300 and in some cases more over their skill.  Maybe someone fixed it. 

Gee you guys should try the Sakura bot if your complaining about those low level pushovers

Are the bots on steroids again or is it just me?

1000 bot Emir seems to be getting more complex.
