Stuck on end game :/

So, first of all, I’m a SUPER beginner and I’m trying to learn. I’m working on sticking to good openings, protecting pieces, and taking advantage of the opponent’s hanging pieces in the early middle game… but SO HELP ME I’m getting so stuck when it comes to my end game. Even when I’m doing well, I end up chasing the king around for a long time and not seeing checkmate opportunities when they’re only a few moves away (discovered by looking at the analysis afterwards). Any advice on late middle game and end game tactics/strategies would be much appreciated.
