This checkmate

King cannot take Queen - it's protected by the Knight.
Rook cannot take Queen - it's pinned by the Bishop. The Black Rook cannot move or it's check by the Bishop.
OOOOOOOOOOOOH THE KNIGHTTTTTT
You started to play last night and...you already noticed the pin so quickly???
AussieMatey pointed out the pin.
The OP's comment about the knight showed that the queen cannot be captured directly by the king, but I felt that he already figured by then that the rook could not move, thus leading to me concluding that the OP was aware of the pin idea to begin with.

Well I was trying to figure it out for a while and then noticed just after posting the question hahahhah
(Btw I was not lying about I've just started playing. I joined chess.com in 2020 cause I loved Queen's Gambit by Netflix, played for 5 minuts and forgot about it. Now I'm back xDDD. Any advice??)

Thank you so much!! Really helpful for me <3
this is why sometimes my pieces won't move this pinning thing - i guess i need to understand what a pin is and where in the rule book it is written so i can clearly understand thanks for set up i was blaming the software everytime i couldn't move to get out of a jam -- i have been made aware thanks

Cause the rook is already protecting the king from the bishop at c4. It's illegal to move the rook cause the bishop would take the king
