While they are disconnected, their clock runs normally, it doesn't stop. So if they are having trouble with disconnection, it is not to their advantage.
Time allowed for disconnects?

For some reason I assumed there was a grace period to reconnect. My mistake/paranoia. Thanks for the info.

I've been playing here a little less than three months, I'm not very good but am enjoying it. Maybe I'm naive about how long it takes to get reconnected during a game but the time allowed seems pretty generous. It seems most of the disconnects occur when my opponent is not in a good position, happens once in a while, After giving it some thought and with their clock running a disconnect occurs. More often than not when they return they've figured it out with no additional time elapsed.
