Usually, I can fight it off, but I was unprepared that game. I think it is a cheesy way to win, but I guess a w is a w. I fell for it, so I’m the sucker. I’m not good enough to take advantage I guess.

IMO the most annoying and insulting opening habit is just mirroring your every move. The only way to put a stop to it is to play something where they'll hang a piece if they follow, but then they don't, of course, and you've misplaced a piece and usually lost at least one tempo. Irritating!
There's Nelson the WQA spamming punching bag for practice.
This will not always happen, but if someone uses a scholars mate, then they might not pay attention to the moves, allowing you to do this. Full honesty, I have used the scholars mate in the past, and I have been a bad sport, but I hope to improve my play, and be a more polite person.
