@ChesswithNickolay then tell me this 'refuted' sideline... also you just need to stop talking, your talking like an elitist and obviously your rating has gotten in your head, people can play whatever they want, let them play what they want, your honestly being rude to some players, you're just a 12 year old with a big head...

okay first tell me how white responds

1. d4 d5

2. Bf4?? c5!!

3.

Bf4 is not a blunder... anyway if you really want to go on, e3, one question, if the accelerated london is so refuted, why dont they use your line everytime?

I do, I recently learned it.

Most of them are happy with a draw. Furthermore, the refutation has only recently been discovered (no, not by me) and GMs have better things to do that to look into all London lines, an opening that is rarely played at their level.

Discovered by who? This is far from what any pro plays...

Nf3, feel free to tell me when it's refuted and I'm losing

After f6, black already wins a whopping 30% more games than white, a 50% difference between the Queen's Gambit and the London System.

White could have lost every single game ever played with the London, but that still doesn't make the opening refuted.

The strength of openings is NOT determined by database statistics, it is determined by concrete analysis.

I'll start:

1.d4 d5 2.Bf4 c5 3.e3 cxd4 4.exd4 Nc6 5.c3 f6 6.Nf3 g5 7.Bg3 (or 7.Be3) with a fine game for white.

Now you have two options:

  • Agree with me that the Accelerated London is an equal opening with best play (not refuted)
  • Find an improvement (better move) for black and explain why he has the advantage

I'll give you credit, Nf3 is the only move that saves the game for white, still a shocking 7% in black's favour.

1. d4 d5

2. Bf4?? c5!!

3. e3 cxd4!

4. exd4 Nc6!

5. c3?? f6!!

6. Nf3! g5!!

Be3, database doesn't mean much, not when the line has been played less than 50 times, database % only matters when there is a significant % difference in openings that have been played more than 1000 times, if you've done any math in your life you should understand that...

I don't take credit for this refutation, @GothamChess does.

At the very start of that video Gothamchess admits that it isn't a refutation, but just leads to a playable position for both sides (white is probably slightly better).

Your "refuation" is complete sh%t. There are 1000 more challenging ways for black to play against the london than your Gothamchess nonsense.

Do you realise what you're saying? Gotham Chess has said 100000000 times that his lines are for beginners/intermediate and not advanced players, the positional weakness of this 'refutation' is crazy
