Hi, I think that you could try both. The difficulty rises from one bot to one that has more points, so my advices are: start with the easiest (250 elo) and keep challenging every bot in order/start with the one you are most curious to challenge (maybe reading the description could help you to decide).
What Bot to play

I'd start with the lowest rated bot and work your way up. And start with the no help whatsoever option as a beginning. This will get you in the habit of thinking before you move, trying to calculate what your opponent's best reply is, etc. If you lose, no big deal; the bot doesn't care. Just try again. So far I've worked my way up to beating Wendy (1500) with no help. It's a lot of fun, and there's no time pressure. Enjoy!!
Hi, as a relatively new player, currently rated at 498 on rapid. I wanted to play some bots for practice. What bits do you recommend? The rated bots or the adaptive bots.
Many thanks
