expert: 2000 - 2200
advanced: 1600 - 2000
intermediate: 1200 - 1600
beginner: 400 - 1200
novice: Less than 400
What elo should I (we) call as a beginner?

It took me just under a year and a half to become intermediate? I say, that's not too bad.

imo 0-1000 is just getting started w chess 1000-1500 is beginner, anything above that is at least intermediate

Doesn't an ELO of 1,000 give you a higher rating than 90% of active chess players?
If you are better at something than 90% of people who regularly participate, then you are least an intermediate player IMHO.

0-1000- Just getting started with chess
1000-1500 - High Beginner
1500-1700- Intermediate
1700-2000- Good player

Grouping 1700 and 2000 together is a bold choice lol. Also, neither of us are good players
800-999 is UCSF class F so the OP is definitely still a beginner.
1400 is class C and thats where you are no longer a beginner.
I have spent years getting above 1400 only to fall back into the 1300s so I am a permanent beginner.

100-500 real bad
600-1000 low beginner
1100-1400 beginner
1500-1700 low intermediate
1800-2000 intermediate
2100-2500 Average for players who play often
2600-2700 advanced
2800+ ain’t half bad
And i wonder if i’m out of beginner now.
