No other piece can deliver the satisfaction of a good king-queen fork like a knight...
The most instructional move I ever saw for me personally, was when one my opponent's played a King move. My piece was trapped (I think it was a Knight?) and I just hadn't seen the King move coming, because I was a low rated player and hadn't been looking at the King as an attacking piece. The King has been my favourite piece since. I mean, that is if I even have a favourite piece at all anyway...
