When the Knight comes, I get nervous.

Consider the position of your pieces and possibilities of the knight's intent before making a move . Don't make your position worse by concentrating on the knight more than required and at the same time look at the other pieces on the board for any threats , possibilities and opportunities
“The weaker the player the more terrible the Knight is to him, but as a player increases in strength the value of the Bishop becomes more evident to him, and of course there is, or should be, a corresponding decease in his estimation of the value of the Knight as compared to the bishop.” - Capablanca
I get rid of it (the knight) first chance I get, often to the detriment of my ‘could’ve been’ position.
I realize that the a&h2 pawns can easily kick it but it’s not always ideal.
Is it worth (or wise) kicking or capturing the knight with a ‘whatever it takes’ mentality?
