End game. My enemy has a light square bishop (I’ve a Knight). Where is better to put my pawns? All of them in dark squares to avoid to be taken? Or all of them in light squares to block the enemy bishop movements?
If he has a light square bishop, then put all your pawns on dark squares. The pawns are then safe from his bishop. If he interlocks his pawns with your pawns, then his pawns will be on light squares, where they hinder his own bishop.
