Which piece is taller?

Hello! I know that queen has got a crown on its top and king has a cross but my chess set is a bit... different. Those two look very similar but one is a bit taller than the other one. Which one is king, which one is queen?

The King is the tallest piece.

The king has a cross on top . . . But the Russian don't use a cross but has a opposite color ball!

Thank you kindly for so many answers! My set is kinda old and was bought during times when most things in my country were exported from Russia so maybe that's why the chess pieces look like that.
