Meh I prefer to study by myself
Who want to be a chess improvement study buddy with me?

Hey practice BB , what kind of areas are you looking to study?
Im just in the 850 rating rapid, but close 1100 in daily. Right now im only focusing on rapid and wouldn't mind someone to swap notes with from time to time.
However.....I think it would depend for me on what your studying
Let me know your focus area?
Maybe my rating is too low for you, but so you know i think im more around 1000 level on rapid, just slowly making my way there

Honestly, 850 is Abit low for me but if we were to train together it would be more of pushing each other to train for example challenging each other to do some specified number of tactics, challenging each other to read a chess book to learn about an area of chess and then quiz each other, or even make training goals. You know stuff like that. But stuff like that takes someone dedicated (not that dedicated but dedicated enough), so are you dedicated enough.

As a beginner, I would love to join a chess study group, but I'm also quite busy and don't know if I can be committed enough. If you created an online chess club/group with weekly study goals/challenges, I would be interested. Not sure how well I'd do as a chess study buddy though.
To add to that idea, awarding points for completing study goals/challenges and having a small leaderboard would add a bit of competitiveness/motivation. At the end of the month, the member with the most points could be "Member of the Month". But this is only an idea.

Wow, that sounds amazing. We could definitely form a club for chess improvers. Unfortunately I don't have experience in clubs but I bet we could figure it out with just abit of time.
Great idea.

would you prefer study buddy or someone to help get you towards a higher rating level - more like a mentor, or like an adviser

Hey guys as you can see in the topic I am trying to get someone to study chess with because it's easy to lose motivation or direction when you are training by yourself but if you are working with someone it's a bit easier.
P.S This is my second account I created for practice if no one noticed😁. I am in the 1200 rapid range and I am not a workaholic which means I can train everyday but it most certainly won't be my reason for waking up everyday, I just do it is necessary and winning feels awesome ( I know everybody agrees).
So I hope someone is interested.
Yes we can help each other out. DM me.

I'm interested in both, and I would love your help if you're willing to give it to me.

Honestly speaking I have struggled with actually focusing on training chess, I am on and off.
And I came to a conclusion that for now I need a study buddy with whom we would both keep each other motivated and focused on a mutual goal of chess improvement.

yeah just be sure to message me all the details and tell me exactly what you need, and ill do my best to try and give it to you

As Heisman says, one the best ways to improve, is discuss the finish game with your opponent.
This club is focused to play rapid games (>30min) and the players discuss a little bit by telegram, whatsapp or another channel about his her thinking process.
We are welcome if your are able to train with this method
