I went from 421 to 923,just don’t give up and maybe play an unrated game and if you lose ,play later when you are in a better form and if you win, play a rated game since you are in good form(eg. relaxed or calm). When you lose,a rated game don’t play again because you are probably not good at that time if this doesn’t work out for you then send me a message

Okay, I'm going to keep on commenting here to make this forum last forever. This forum NEEDS to be eternal, just like the Silksong community is. We need to keep giving advice, so let's keep going!

There are open challenges where you can selectively violate people with 200 or so lower rating.

Mouseover:

side bar: play

Custom challenges

Top right corner, an eye on a chessboard

There are challenges ( it will tell you unrated or rated) and will also say the time control.

Hello my long lost brother. I am in the exact same boat as OP so I feel like I can help, and maybe doing so will help me as well.

You are egotistical, entitled and frankly pathetic. If you're anything like me, you feel that average sucks and is detestable, and that is hard to deal with. You think you're better than everyone else, when in fact you are guaranteed to be worse at some things. It is impossible to be good at everything. You probably got good marks in grade school and got so much smoke blown up your butt by your 3rd grade teachers that you thought you were Einstein or da Vinci, and then real life hits you and you get depressed as hell when you aren't a supergenious. But that's the ego talking, and your lack of resilience in the face of adversity will get you nowhere in life and only make you depressed. This isn't just a chess thing, if you act like this in chess you act like this everywhere in life. I know from experience. I too am struggling, after 2000 games I am 900 Elo, and it kills me inside in a incredibly deep way.

Most people are going to give terrible advise, because there problem isn't how you learn or what books you read or whatever, is that you don't try to learn. You don't know how to learn. Something came easy to you when you were young and you expect that same experience over and over again for the rest of your life. This, again, is ego talking. It's delusions of grandeur. So what you (and I) have to do is learn to deal with the adversity of actually having to try at something. And I mean actually put your brain to it, not just open a book and mindlessly going through it. Learning to deal with adversity and learning how to learn is the hardest lesson in life and we simply missed that class because we were never forced to go. If this makes you want to give up, then go do something else, lord knows I want to as well.
