Why was this a brilliant move?

It's saying it was brilliant to ignore the threat to my knight, but I feel like even if it wasn't the best play I'd still ignore that pawn attacking it for the fact it's defended. Is my 400 ELO brain too small to understand a brilliant move, or was that really the best play?

Well, it's defended and you can take your opponent's rook if he takes your knight
