For while, playing white I feel far confortable opening with london. It keeps you ahead in your position.
See you
I use the Kings Indian Defence with Black and I seem to be able to win more, lots of sneaky rook captures with my bishop from long range, but when I am White I really struggle with my opening? Could peeps suggest an opening setup for White that is simple but has the potential to build on it?
Thanks
Gram
Not really, you win with white slightly more.
With white: 47.6% games won
With black: 46.8% games won
Draw rate is around 3.5% for both, so you are slightly better with white pieces.

Go on your profile and click on your rapid score. When it expands you will be able to click on full stats. There you can see it.
I don't know about the white opening, plenty of good advice here already, but I'll note that the "sneaky rook captures" benefit of the g7 bishop will decline abruptly as you progress from the 600's into the 700's around here, speaking from extensive experience. In fact as you go a bit higher up your opponent may well be able to neutralize that bishop and it's still sitting there late middlegame hemmed in doing nothing. I almost always play it, and this point may partly explain my mediocre situation.
If you play the King's Indian with black, why don't you play the same with white?
yeah im trying that 😁

Here's a dumb answer.
If you like playing as Black that much, why not play 1. a3 as White? It's basically a Black game but with an extra (handy) move.

Following 1.e4 I recommend the Italian Game as White....it is an opening you can build on and play for a lifetime. For a change of pace, also check out The Vienna Game & Gambit. If you prefer 1.d4 then I recommend the London System. There are articles on each of these and more in my blog...
