During a game of bughouse, this is what happened:

I have no idea why my opponent made that move.

I have no idea what the bughouse variation is, but it's ilegal to expose your king in regular chess. SOMEONE EXPLAIN BUGHOUSE TO ME!

Bughouse is played with two teams of (usually) two. When you capture your opponents piece, you give that piece to your team member. That team member also gives pieces to you. You and your temmate can play those pieces (taking up a turn) anywhere on the board with a few exceptions. Usually you can't place checks, and you can't put pawns on the 1st or 8th rank (queen!). The object of the game is to checkmate or capture your opponents king. You don't have to say check when you attack your opponents king, and you allowed to move into check (I wouldn't!).

Way we play bughouse, you're not allowed to place a piece down giving immediate check. Still, nice play!
