Maybe you should come up with a new variation. 1 d4 and then Kd2. It seems like the other side of the board is fertile ground for the king.
Here is a "hypermodern" Bongcloud variation. (I have to cite KillaBeez for the idea).

Boungcloud Society rules allow for the Bishop Castle (7. B-O-O-O) to b1, producing TWO light-squared bishops. Of course, the Bishop at b1 is critical to protect the a2 and c3 squares from a Black King invasion.

It is important that one does not miss the main point of the theory behind the Bongcloud Opening: That having a strong, centralized king is the hallmark of all sound and agressive opening play.
Bishops and rooks have a rather limited sphere of influence until the endgame because they are blocked by other pieces, but with the development of Bongcloud Opening theory it can be shown that the king's comparatively large sphere of influence in the opening and middlegame, if he is developed properly, paves the way to a superior position and game.
I so want to be a member of the boungcloud society... Please sign me up! In my humble opinion this daring attack, immediately in the opening, should always be used to explain people about chess!
The hyper modern boungcloud looks fantastic. It even beats the famous knight fianchetto
You should make a Boungcloud tornament, it would be interesting.
