In the US we have "Father's Day" in mid-June.
No, I'm not sure exactly why either.
But I'm an American and a father and my older son got me some chess books for Father's Day!
Actually he got me "Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess", another beginner's book, and a bottle of aspirin. I had mentioned to him that this game, at times, gives me a headache.
So, all is good.
Now if he'll just let me win a game....
